ALBANY – Pedestrians on State Avenue Saturday afternoon have been greeted by the squawks of distressed chickens as an animal legal rights group introduced their guerilla advertising marketing campaign to city.

Folks for the Moral Treatment of Animals (PETA) experienced parked a box truck throughout three parking spaces just above North Pearl Avenue depicting chickens on their way to the slaughterhouse, finish with speakers pumping their cries up and down the road.

Lettering on the truck’s taxi claimed it was from the “Hell on Wheels Rooster Company” and depicted a cartoon chef winking although holding a hen by the neck.

On the back of the truck was modest indication that read, “Does this hassle you? Then go vegan.”
